The annual conference of the Wildlife Disease Association Australasian section will be held on North Stradbroke Island in South East Queensland. 23 - 28 September 2012. The conference will be easily accessed via Brisbane or Gold Coast airports, public transport and a ferry trip. At the time of the conference the humpback whales will be migrating south past North Stradbroke with calves, the surroundings will be beautiful and the company superb. The southern hemisphere spring weather should be sunny and dry, expect maximum daytime temperatures of 21C and overnight lows of 11C (52-70°F).
